-Welcome to the Lanchester Events page,
which includes information about Lanchester
rallies and other events taking place throughout the year.
See Chris Clark and his Lanchester cars featured on BBC television.
Chris Clark had already written articles for the Times and Telegraph, as well as motoring journals, but was highly honoured to be asked to write separate biographies on
Dr. Frederick Lanchester
and also
George Lanchester
for Oxford University's award-winning
Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
The whole work can be bought, or viewed at public libraries, or seen on website: www.oxforddnb.com
View the short film here, showing just a few of the countless Lanchester cars Chris Clark has owned over the years. The first-hand knowledge gained has
allowed Chris to write so intimately and authoritatively about the Lanchester brothers and their cars.

The Lanchester Register is holding its annual Rally in Northumbria this year. The 4-day Rally in August starts on Friday 13th but let's hope that there is no bad luck for all the pre-1931 Lanchesters driving there from all parts of Britain. Some owners will be making it a 6-day event, as the great distances will involve extra nights away. More details are shown on the Lanchester Register and the DLOC pages.

The Vintage Sports Car Club are holding their annual 'Summer Serendipity' event on Sunday 29th August 2010 at The Royal Oak in Much Marcle, on A449, east Herefordshire. This great social event is open to the public and attracts owners of pre-war cars of all makes, from far and wide. Why not join us in your pre-war Lanchester, as you can expect to see 100, 125 or maybe 150 other pre-war cars there, arriving from 1030 and leaving late afternoon. No charges are involved and all are welcome. Drinks, lunches etc served from the pub. All post-war cars have to park on the grass verges on the A449.
The famous 'London to Brighton' veteran car run will take place on Sunday 7th November 2010. It is reported that over one million people watch this fabulous spectacle every year. Why not drive your Lanchester and park up on the verges to watch the hundreds of pre-1905 cars struggle to Brighton?
A permanent, commemorative wall plaque will be erected on George Lanchester's cottage in North Devon, as the finale to the 2011 Lanchester Register Rally. The invitation to attend extends to owners of all Lanchester cars, irrespective of age (the cars that is!) and a good turn-out is hoped for. Watch this space..
